“I mean it. I could have any girl in this whole school begging for my dick, just like that!” Josh snapped his fingers.

The older guys weren't impressed. “Any girl?” asked the first, a junior named Patrick something or other.

Josh leaned back in the plastic cafeteria chair and folded his arms across his chest. “Any girl.”

“Bull,” said the second guy – Roger, Josh thought it was. “I think you're all talk, freshie.”

Josh smirked. “You want names? I've been with dozens of girls. They fall right into my lap, if you know what I mean.”

Patrick laughed softly. He was picking apart his sub and setting the lettuce carefully aside on the edge of his plate.

“What's so funny?”

High school girls, freshie, you've been with dozens of high school girls.”

“What's your point?”

“High school is over, man. You might have been a big fish in that pond, but some of these chicks we got here... they're sharks, man. Snap up a goldfish like you and spit you out.”

Josh could hardly believe his ears. He'd been at Jonestown Tech for less than a month, and already he was getting frozen out. Maybe he'd waited too long, been too aloof. He'd taken some time to get himself situated, contenting himself with watching the girls go walking by in their tank tops and short-shorts, little book bags slung over their shoulders. He'd watched, knowing that he could have them anytime he wanted. And now here was this guy Patrick, spinning him a line about being out of his depth! He didn't have any time to waste if he was going to establish his cred. He took a long sip of his soda and thought about the best way to show them what he was really made of.

Patrick was reassembling his sub – minus the offending lettuce – he seemed almost to have forgotten that the conversation was taking place.

Josh set his soda down. “Okay, here's the deal. You name a girl. Any girl you think I couldn't get.”

“So, anybody who's not desperate, then?” Roger laughed.

“Har har. Any girl. You name her, I'll seal the deal tonight. One girl, one night. And I'll bring proof.”

“Oh yeah?”

Josh pulled out his smart-phone and set it down on the table. “I'll send you a video of her begging for my dick by this time tomorrow, or I'm buying lunch for the rest of the semester.”

Patrick perked up. “The whole semester?” He looked at Roger. “Sounds good. But who should we pick?”

“You want to give the guy a sporting chance, right?”

Patrick shrugged. “Well, that's only fair.”

“You know who it's gotta be, right?”

“I do indeed.”

Josh frowned. “You guys setting me up here? You're not gonna throw me some dyke or something?”

Patrick clicked his tongue. “Not at all, freshie, not at all. She's fair game. A challenge even for someone like me, but fair game. Not that I think you've got a shot with her.”

Josh leaned forward. “Who is she?”

Roger smiled. “Trissy Keegan.”

“Trissy Keegan,” Patrick echoed, nodding gleefully.

“Who's that?”

Roger snagged a lettuce leaf off Patrick's plate and started munching on it. “A senior. Sorority girl, Kappa Gamma house.”

Josh snorted. “A sorority girl? Come on you guys, I thought you said this would be a challenge. What is she, a big uggo or something? Got a boyfriend?”

“Nah, man, she's hot. Hot and single. Might just... surprise you, though.”

“A girl of hidden depths,” Patrick added, grinning from ear to ear.

Josh set down his soda. “Okay, I'm missing something here.”

Patrick shook his head. “No no, don't worry about it. Look, it's perfect, Kappa Gamma's having a party at their sorority house tonight. I'll make sure you get in, I used to date a Kappa Gamma and she still owes me a favor. You go there tonight, pick up Trissy Keegan, send us that video, and that's it. We'll buy you lunch for the semester.”

Josh thought hard. There was something they weren't telling him, that was obvious. How bad could it be, though? This Keegan girl might be a tough nut, but they didn't know who they were dealing with. Josh was a master at manipulating girls; he'd got the principle's daughter to give it up in the gym after basketball practice once. However tough this Trissy Keegan was, she couldn't be tougher than that. “It's a deal.”

Roger smiled. “Good luck, Romeo.”

Patrick took a big bite of his sub. “Let's hope you're man enough for her, eh?”

Josh shook his head. They really had no idea who they were dealing with. He took out his wallet and pulled out a couple bucks to pay for his soda and fries. “This time tomorrow,” he said, “you'll be buying these for me.”

The party was already in full swing by the time Josh got there. He felt like he was walking into an enormous cotton candy machine – everything was pink: pink streamers and banners hung from the ceiling, the little fruity cocktails were pink, the furniture was pink, all of it. There was even a big pile of teddy bears in one corner of the room – pink, of course.

A sorority girl came bouncing up to him as soon as he walked through the door. She had on this tiny plaid skirt that went flouncing up around her hips with every step. “Hey there, cutie! I'm Sandy.” She smiled at him, cocking her head to one side, “You looking for the party?”

He drank her in. She was this slim little thing with a tight butt and perky boobs that just begged to be cupped and squeezed. If he hadn't had other business, he probably would have taken a pass at her. “I'm looking for Trissy Keegan. Do you know her?”

The girl pulled a sad face. “Aw, taken already? Triss gets all the fresh meat.” She nodded at the bar on the far side of the room. “Over there in the pink jumper, can't miss her.”
